Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a Multi-Skilled Technician for the Emergency Care Center. The role combines patient care with essential administrative support to ensure smooth unit operation.

Candidates must hold Florida CNA/EMT/Paramedic licensure (or National EMT) active during employment or be nursing students eligible for CNA exams. CPI training within one year is required.

Qualifications

• Nursing students eligible for CNA exam must be enrolled and not licensed as RN/LPN.
• PCT or CNA certification with Florida CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of graduation.
• CPI training/certification required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative duties to support patient flow.

Job Summary

The Multi-Skilled Technician is an experienced health care worker who provides both patient care and administrative support.

Required Qualifications

• Require one of the following:1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation. • Prefer the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Prefer working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Mandatory Education
