Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Multi-Skilled Tech / HUC to provide bedside assistance with activities of daily living and basic patient care under the supervision of the RN in charge. You will also handle clerical/HUC duties such as answering phones and entering orders.

The role requires a High School diploma, and the preferred Nursing Assistant course plus current BLS certification. CPI training within 6 months of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant Course (Preferred).
• Current BLS for health care providers.
• CPI Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, turning, feeding).
• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Answer call bells at stations and in rooms to ensure patient safety.
• Perform clerical/HUC duties such as answering phones, entering orders, and general administrative support.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and adapt to other duties as trained.

The Multi-Skilled Tech / HUC assist with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, toileting, turning and assistance with feeding). They provide basic patient care and assist in maintenance of a safe and clean environment by specifically answering of the call bell at the station and in room. These duties will be done under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of patients. The Multi-skilled Tech/HUC will also perform clerical/HUC duties such as answering phones, entering orders and general administrative support duties when not assisting with activities of daily living for the patient. Will assume other duties as assigned and supported by training

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant Course (Preferred)
• Current BLS for health care providers
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification within 6 months of hire
