Job summary

Tarmac is seeking experienced Multi Skilled Road Surfacing Operatives for a long-term resurfacing contract across Hampshire with works based out of Bristol. If you live in Andover, Winchester, Kingsclere, Portsmouth or nearby areas, this could be the role for you.

You will operate pavers, rollers, tractors and chippers, and lay coated materials to the highest quality while upholding safety, health and environmental standards and driving productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in road surfacing on highways and motorways.
• Experience operating road surfacing machinery and holding relevant plant tickets.
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team.
• Hold a valid full UK driving licence.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operating plant for road surfacing (paver, rollers, tractor, chipper, etc.).
• Laying coated materials to specification and British Standard tolerances.
• Maintaining and housekeeping of plant and site equipment.
• Promoting zero-harm culture and safety compliance among team.
• Ensuring safety measures on site and encouraging others to be compliant.
