Job summary

Danos in Texas seeks a field operator to manage oil and gas well operations, testing, and routine maintenance of field equipment and facilities.

You will monitor production, take readings, issue work permits, and collaborate with engineers and support teams to maximize uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in field operations.
• Ability to provide technical/functional and/or administrative support.
• General working knowledge of department systems and procedures.
• Performs routine tasks and can solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Operate wells, gas lift systems, ESPs, and three-phase separation equipment.
• Prepare for and perform maintenance, take readings, issue work permits, follow procedures.
• Proactively monitor well and equipment performance to maximize production.
• Coordinate with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on data.
• Interface with Engineering for data gathering and testing.
• Track test compression data and conduct fluid level measurements.

Overview

Responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment and assisting the other operators and craft personnel in their duties.
• Prepares for and performs maintenance, taking readings, doing rounds, issuing work permits, following procedures, initiating work requests, writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups.
• Proactively monitors well and equipment performance, take appropriate action to maximize production.

• Works with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.).

• Interfaces with Engineering for data gathering requests.
• Tracks test compression data.
• Conducts fluid levels with echo meter.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivenlent.
• Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
• Ability to provide technical/functional and/or administrative support.
• General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department.
• Performs routine tasks.
• Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
