Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage well operations, gas lifted wells, ESPs, three‑phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, and assist other operators and craft personnel.
  • Prepare for and perform maintenance, take readings, issue work permits, follow procedures, initiate work requests, write procedures, interfacing with support groups.
  • Proactively monitor well and equipment performance to maximize production.
  • Work with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.).
  • Interface with Engineering for data gathering requests.
  • Track test compression data.
  • Conduct fluid level measurements with echo meter.

Overview

As a Multi-Skilled Operator IV you will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotational schedule. You will ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment, support Health, Environment, and Safety processes. The role requires extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate must have a deep understanding of oil and gas and be capable of troubleshooting various production systems.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment and assisting the other operators and craft personnel in their duties.
  • Prepares for and performs maintenance, taking readings, doing rounds, issuing work permits, following procedures, initiating work requests, writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups.
  • Proactively monitors well and equipment performance, take appropriate action to maximize production.
  • Works with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.)
  • Interfaces with Engineering for data gathering requests.
  • Tracks test compression data.
  • Conducts fluid levels with echo meter.

  • High School Diplomaor GED required. College Degree or Technical training preferred.
  • Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • PhysicalRequirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
  • Must live within 45 miles of Kenedy, TX.
