Job summary

RigUp in Kenedy, TX is seeking an entry-level field operations support teammate to assist well operations and production equipment. You will work with gas lifted wells, ESPs, three-phase separation, gas compression, and routine maintenance tasks.

This role provides hands-on field exposure, requires learning SOPs, and coordinating with engineering and support groups to maximize production while following established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Entry level with 0–3 years of experience.
  • Ability to provide technical and/or administrative support.
  • Ability to learn terminology, applications, and standard procedures for the job function.
  • Ability to perform routine, basic office and field tasks using established procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support well operations including gas lifted wells, ESPs, and production surveillance.
  • Operate and monitor three-phase separation equipment, gas compression systems, and pipeline operations.
  • Perform control board operations as assigned.
  • Conduct minor maintenance on valves, pumps, and rotating equipment.
  • Prepare for and perform maintenance activities, including taking readings, completing rounds, and following established procedures.
  • Issue work permits and initiate work requests as needed.
  • Write procedures and interface with support groups to coordinate activities.
  • Proactively monitor well and equipment performance and take appropriate actions to maximize production.
  • Work with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (e.g., corrosion inhibitor, paraffin control, soap injection).
  • Interface with Engineering to support data gathering requests.
  • Conduct fluid level measurements using an echo meter.

Job Description:

Entry-level role responsible for supporting well operations and associated production equipment. Duties include working with gas lifted wells, ESPs, three-phase separation, gas compression, control board operations, pipeline operations, and minor maintenance of valves, pumps, and rotating equipment. The position also supports other operators and craft personnel in day-to-day activities, performs routine field tasks using established procedures, and develops familiarity with terminology, applications, and standard operating procedures.

Schedule: 10 days on/4 days off (12 hr days)

Pay: $26/hr
