Job summary

TC Energy Corp. seeks a versatile Mechanic/Operator (or multi-skilled EIC/Mechanical Technician) to support the safe operation and maintenance of our natural gas facilities in the Gaylord area.

This hands-on role requires independent work, troubleshooting and contributing to asset reliability. The candidate should have mechanical and/or electrical experience, reside within 30 miles of the reporting location to meet emergency-response requirements, and may be placed at an appropriate skill level

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical, instrumentation, and controls experience in a related industry.
• Master Electrician License or equivalent.
• ISA certification or similar industry certification desired.
• Ability to interpret technical references and P&ID drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, test, repair, operate, and maintain power, process controls, PLCs, and electrical systems.
• Perform routine and major mechanical maintenance on units and related equipment.
• Operate engines, compressors, pumps, boilers, and gas handling equipment.
• Maintain PLCs, valves, transmitters, and gas quality devices.
• Assemble and install instrumentation and wiring using hand and power tools.
• Plan, supervise and conduct maintenance and inspections for safety and reliability.
