Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Mechanic/Operator for its USGO Great Lakes Area in the Gaylord region to support safe operation and maintenance of natural gas facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain power, PLCs, and control systems and work with engines, compressors, and gas handling equipment on-site.

The role requires hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls systems, with the ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical, instrumentation, and controls experience in a related industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, test, repair, operate, and maintain power, process controls, PLCs, and related electrical equipment.
• Perform routine and major mechanical maintenance on units and related equipment to ensure reliability and safe operation.
• Install and maintain engines, compressors, pumps, boilers, and related electrical equipment used in natural gas compression.
• Maintain PLCs, valves, transmitters, switches, regulators, and gas quality devices.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain instrumentation and wiring using hand and power tools.
• Conduct diagnostics, calibrations, and replacements on sensors and controllers with test equipment.
• Lead pipeline isolation, gas handling activities, and safety-critical tasks per procedures.
