Job summary

Landmark Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the community's maintenance program and preserve asset value. You will assist with interior and exterior upkeep and provide customer service as a team player. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor with no direct reports.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory monitoring, inspections, and adherence to policies. Must be able to work weekends and after hours for emergencies; HVAC certification and computer literacy

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience with electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Must have excellent communication and people skills.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, professional, and OSHA approved work environment
• Assist with the maintenance operations and repairs of the property
• Assist with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Report time and attendance
• Make daily inspections of the community
• Understand and adhere to the Landmark Properties policies and procedures
• Ensure confidentiality of resident and company information
• Understand the needs and expectations of residents and exceed their expectations
• Develop a sense of community among the residents and staff
• Maintain active and effective communication with residents and parents
• Maintain a positive community environment for both residents and associates and encourage participation in events and activities
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and implementing a successful turn
• Ensure service requests are completed in a timely manner
• Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls
• Understand, communicate, and enforce community safety, emergency, and fire evacuations policies and procedures, providing emergency response and referral services and resources
• Document and address behaviors of residents that violate the law or the community lease agreement
• Identify and address safety and security risks
• Inspect the physical condition of the property and report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager
