Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Management Canton, NC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for full-time daytime hours at Silver Bluff. The role requires upkeep of the facility, equipment, and surrounding grounds, with routine minor repairs and safety checks.

Responsibilities include monitoring lifts, servicing wheelchairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and responding to maintenance calls. A valid NC license and ability to work odd hours for emergencies are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of general maintenance.
• Experience in HVAC.
• General computer knowledge for troubleshooting and computer based software work order system.
• Carry cell phone and respond to maintenance call every fourth weekend.
• Willing to work odd hours if emergency arises.
• Ability to read and write clearly following instructions.
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of how to reset fire alarm panels and pull stations.
• Knowledge of turning off main power, water, and/or gas supply to facility.
• Knowledge of roof equipment functions and other equipment.
• Willing to work as Housekeeping Assistant Porter, Laundry Assistant or Grounds Assistant as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility, grounds, and equipment.
• Performs minor repairs and keeps facility hazard-free.
• Monitors whirlpool lift and services as needed.
• Lubricates wheelchairs and performs minor repairs.
• Cleans casters and filters on equipment.
• Monitors bedrails and repairs as needed.
• Ensures dining tables are level.
• Hangs pictures and connects TVs for patients.
• Maintains cleanliness of downspouts, roof, and maintenance shop.
• Performs minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs as needed.
