Job summary

KDC Construction is seeking a Service Technician in California to handle a high volume of repair and maintenance work orders, from minor handyman tasks to medium commercial renovations. You will work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to a positive customer experience and ongoing improvement.

The role requires flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, with a competitive hourly wage and a full benefits package for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General handyman experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring and drywall.
• Must possess or obtain vehicle and tools to perform job.
• Ability to interact with a diverse customer roster.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve work orders at various customer locations.
• Perform minor equipment and building repairs.
• Respond to Priority 1 emergency safety requests and relevant shutdowns.
• Update daily store visits, on-site times, and schedule changes.
• Document daily work activity with photos and respond to management inquiries.
• Assist with updating store-level facility records and paperwork.
• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory.
• Inspect and troubleshoot systems to identify repairs.
• Travel to different worksites to complete tasks.
• Work safely and support the health, safety, and environmental program.
• Other duties as assigned.
