Job summary

Securitas USA in Edwardsville, IL is hiring a Multi Site Security Officer (Part Time) to protect client properties, ensure safety, and support guests. The role emphasizes de-escalation, reporting hazards, and strong customer service in a mostly outdoor environment.

Requirements include 18+, HS diploma or GED, reliable transportation, valid license, and ability to pass pre-employment screening. Shifts cover 2nd/3rd, weekends and holidays, with interviews at our Fairview Heights location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible for Illinois PERC license.
• Have a minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or willing to complete a GED program.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record needed. This is a driving position.
• Must be able to walk on uneven terrain and walk up/down flights of stairs. 75%–80% standing/walking.
• This position will be up to about 75%–80% of the time outside.
• Have reliable transportation. Will need to be available Friday–Sunday 1:00pm–7:00am and all holidays.
• Have reliable working communication device (cell phone).
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!!
• Have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Multi Site Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Edwardsville, IL

Wage Range: $16.50-$18.50/HR
