Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking an Area Supervisor, School Nutrition Services (Food Service Funded) to provide leadership, coaching, and operational oversight across campuses. You will guide managers to develop high-performing teams while ensuring compliant, efficient, financially responsible, and customer-focused nutrition services.

The role requires a strong background in school nutrition or multi-site operations, with a focus on HACCP, compliance, and staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Food and Nutrition, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible food service management, school nutrition, hospitality, or comparable operational leadership experience.
• K-12 school nutrition experience or experience in a multi-site food service operation preferred.
• State of Texas or ANSI accredited Food Service Manager's Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe operations to evaluate workflow, speed of service, food quality, presentation, customer experience, staffing deployment, cleanliness, organization, and overall execution.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and policies for School Nutrition Services.
• Coach, monitor, and hold managers accountable for daily kitchen operations, including scheduling, records, inventory, HACCP, and compliance.
• Support operations in delivering consistent customer experiences aligned with district standards.
• Conduct operational and compliance reviews for food production, safety, and management.
• Use financial data to evaluate participation, quality, staffing, productivity, efficiency, and cost; propose improvements.
• Assist with monitoring and evaluating kitchen equipment needs.
• Suggest and implement standard operating procedures as needed.
• Support marketing and promotional initiatives across schools.
• Take on temporary leadership to ensure continuity of operations.
