Job summary

Genuine Foods in Oregon is seeking a Food Service Area Manager to oversee operations across K-12 and higher education accounts. You will supervise site-based teams, ensure program compliance, and lead quality service across multiple locations.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in mid/high-volume food service, strong communication and organizational skills, and a customer-service orientation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of K-12 supervisory experience in a mid/high-volume food service facility.
• Ability to travel between sites across the region and manage multiple accounts.
• Attention to detail and strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular site visits to observe food service operations, including preparation, safety, and guest engagement.
• Ensures K-12 sites comply with NSLP/School Breakfast Program requirements, USDA meal patterns, and state guidelines.
• Supports higher education operations (residential dining, retail, catering) to meet contracts and partner expectations.
• Manages food service leads and unit managers with weekly check-ins; provides guidance and feedback.
• Enhances culinary operations by adapting menus and service styles to student needs.
• Builds relationships with district administrators, school staff, and campus partners; participates in client meetings.
• Trains site staff on policies, production records, inventory, food safety, and allergen protocols.
• Ensures sites meet Oregon food safety regulations and are prepared for health inspections.
