Job summary

Alfred Sanzari Enterprises seeks a dependable, hands-on Multi-Site Maintenance Technician to support multiple residential communities within our portfolio. The role involves maintaining building systems, grounds, and appearance while delivering responsive service to residents and Property Management.

The technician will travel between communities using a provided company vehicle, perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and respond to requests.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with general building or residential maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Yardi, building automation systems, or similar maintenance/property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and operational support to multiple residential communities within an assigned portfolio.
  • Travel between properties throughout the workday to complete inspections, preventive maintenance, work orders, repairs, and other assigned tasks.
  • Perform routine property inspections and identify maintenance, safety, operational, and aesthetic concerns.
  • Complete general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, lighting, doors and locks, leaks, hardware, and other building components.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and document preventive maintenance schedules for building equipment and systems.
  • Monitor building systems and equipment, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, access control, and other mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate required inspections and testing of fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency generators, and other life safety systems.
  • Identify repairs requiring specialized contractors and coordinate vendor service when appropriate.
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for vendors providing HVAC, elevator, landscaping, snow removal, pest control, cleaning, trash removal, fire protection, and other property services.
  • Monitor vendor performance and report service deficiencies to Property Management.
  • Inspect property exteriors, grounds, parking areas, lighting, landscaping, signage, trash areas, doors, and common areas.
  • Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs, including punch lists, property protection, contractor access, and damage inspections.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, replacement parts, and commonly used maintenance supplies.
  • Maintain accurate work order and maintenance records in Yardi or other designated systems.
  • Communicate property conditions, significant repairs, emergencies, and outstanding maintenance needs to Property Management.
  • Support building security and access-control procedures.
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with residents, visitors, vendors, contractors, and coworkers.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency maintenance coverage in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist with maintenance coverage at other company properties when needed.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Multi-Site Maintenance Technician to support multiple smaller residential communities within our portfolio. This position is responsible for maintaining the physical condition, building systems, grounds, and overall appearance of assigned properties while providing responsive service to residents and Property Management.

The Multi-Site Maintenance Technician will travel between assigned communities based on preventive maintenance schedules, service requests, inspections, property needs, and emergencies. A company vehicle is provided for travel between properties and authorized business use.

Company Vehicle

A company vehicle is provided for authorized business use, including travel between assigned communities, supply and vendor trips, and emergency response.

Candidates must maintain a valid driver's license and meet company and insurance requirements for operation of a company vehicle.

Qualifications & Skills

Successful candidates should have hands‑on experience with general building or residential maintenance and working knowledge of:

  • Plumbing and leak repairs
  • Basic electrical repairs
  • Doors, locks, and hardware
  • Basic HVAC troubleshooting
  • General building maintenance
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Hand and power tools

Experience with multifamily residential properties is preferred. Familiarity with Yardi, building automation systems, or similar maintenance/property management software is a plus.

Additional Requirements

Regular travel between assigned properties is an essential function of this position. The Multi‑Site Maintenance Technician must maintain a valid driver's license and remain eligible to operate a company vehicle.

The position requires participation in after‑hours and emergency maintenance coverage, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with the company’s on‑call schedule.
