Job summary

J & M Property Management in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Property Manager to support the Senior Property Manager in the efficient operation of designated properties. You will help ensure occupancy and financial targets are met, supervise on-site staff, coordinate maintenance, and manage budgets and reporting.

The role emphasizes strong communication, team leadership, and proactive problem solving to deliver excellent tenant and vendor service while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma; a four-year or associate degree in real estate management or business administration is preferred.
• Experience with AppFolio, Microsoft or similar compliance software is necessary.
• Minimum of 1–3 years hands-on experience as a property or site manager is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the activities of all assigned personnel.
• Supervise and control operations of designated properties to achieve cost efficiency.
• Ensure occupancy targets are reached and maintained for each property.
• Ensure receivable targets are met and that property finances are stable; deliver monthly reports on time.
• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, vendors, and coworkers; coordinate onboarding and continuing education for staff.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies and oversee property improvements with the Maint. Supervisor as approved by ownership.
