Job summary

PeopleSuite Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Multi-Site Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations across multiple facilities in the United States. You will ensure safety, quality, service, and financial performance while driving continuous improvement.

You will develop plant leadership teams, optimize equipment, materials, and labor, and collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to meet customer requirements. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant plant management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of operations leadership in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Operational Excellence methodologies preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Our client is seeking an experienced Multi-Site Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations across multiple facilities, with responsibility for safety, quality, customer service, operational performance, cost management, and continuous improvement.

This position provides strategic and day-to-day leadership to ensure manufacturing operations achieve production, quality, financial, and customer service objectives. The Multi-Site Plant Manager will develop plant leadership teams, optimize the use of equipment, materials, and labor, and drive operational excellence across the organization.

This role requires a hands-on manufacturing leader who can effectively manage multiple locations, build high-performing teams, strengthen customer relationships, and implement sustainable improvements across plant operations.

Responsibilities

Multi-Site Operations Leadership

• Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple plant locations.
• Develop and execute strategic and tactical operating plans aligned with plant and company objectives.
• Oversee production planning to ensure customer requirements for quality, service, cost, and delivery are consistently achieved.
• Monitor plant performance, identify operational gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve results.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to maximize plant capacity, utilization, and responsiveness to customer requirements.
• Serve as the plant-level project leader for new initiatives involving equipment, molds, processes, and other operational improvements.
• Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
• Travel between plant locations and other business locations as needed, up to 50%.

Safety & Compliance

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all established safety, health, quality, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
• Develop and support safety training programs, plant safety meetings, audits, and corrective action initiatives.
• Encourage employee participation in safety improvement, suggestion, and recognition programs.
• Ensure plant leadership teams maintain consistent safety and compliance standards across operations.

Quality & Customer Service

• Lead plant quality initiatives and ensure products consistently meet company and customer requirements.
• Oversee corrective actions resulting from customer complaints, internal quality concerns, and audit findings.
• Coordinate new product qualifications and participate in internal and external quality system audits.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address quality and operational performance issues.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to improve service, processes, and supply chain efficiency.
• Review plant operating results and ensure manufacturing costs remain within established budgets and performance targets.
• Drive effective utilization of labor, equipment, materials, and plant resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce operating costs, and increase manufacturing efficiency.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end physical inventories in accordance with corporate requirements.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term continuous improvement plans across plant operations.
• Utilize Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies to improve safety, quality, cost, productivity, and service.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and establish measurable performance objectives.
• Promote standardization and sharing of best practices across plant locations.
• Select, train, coach, develop, and retain plant leadership and operational personnel.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability for safety, quality, productivity, customer service, and financial performance.
• Build collaborative, high-performing teams focused on achieving organizational objectives.
• Promote an open-door, team-oriented work environment that encourages communication, employee involvement, and continuous improvement.
• Develop leadership capabilities and succession plans to support the long-term needs of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant plant management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of operations leadership, supervisory, or management experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations and developing plant leadership teams.
• Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience managing plant budgets, production performance, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Operational Excellence methodologies preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, resource utilization, and cost management.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
