Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Pre-Analytical Supervisor to lead phlebotomy across Prineville and Madras sites, ensuring safe, efficient specimen collection and high-quality patient experience.

You will manage staffing, regulatory compliance, and process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles, while partnering with nursing and clinical teams to optimize access and throughput.

Qualifications

• Required: HSD or GED; Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in healthcare, science, or related field.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (e.g., PBT-ASCP or equivalent) within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2–4 years of clinical laboratory or phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: Leadership or lead experience; multi-site ambulatory or hospital phlebotomy experience; Lean/Six Sigma training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy operations across assigned locations.
• Ensure staffing, scheduling, and coverage to meet patient demand and service levels.
• Drive standardization of specimen collection, handling, transport, and processing; reduce pre-analytic errors.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing phlebotomy team; conduct evaluations.
