Job summary

Day & Ross is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to promote a safe, accident-free work environment across multiple facilities in the US. You will investigate incidents, drive corrective actions, and support the SMS while training teams and updating policies.

The role requires a safety degree or CSP designation with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Expect travel to various sites and a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field and 2+ years in safety program.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Investigate health and safety concerns/incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Communicate with teams about internal health and safety audits; assist in creating actions and follow-ups.
• Grow safety culture and drive the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Complete SMS audits and mini audits across locations.
• Develop safe work practices in line with regulations.
• Develop and review safety policies and procedures with compliance.
