Job summary

Patriot Talent Solutions in Knoxville is seeking a Network Engineer to support and improve a growing multi-site network environment. This role balances day-to-day administration with project work and infrastructure improvements across locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on networking experience, strong routing and switching knowledge, VLANs, and firewall administration. Familiarity with BGP, failover, and static routing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless environments.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
• Participate in network upgrades, refreshes, and modernization initiatives.
• Assess network environments and recommend improvements.
• Create and maintain network documentation.
• Support infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
• Work directly with end users and business stakeholders to understand operational needs.
• Assist with wireless and site infrastructure planning as needed.
