Job summary

Nextpower Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing to lead a multi-site factory network for utility-scale solar & energy storage inverters.

You will own safety, quality, delivery, and cost, driving Lean, Kaizen, automation initiatives across company-run and contract-manufactured sites. Reporting to the General Manager, Power Conversion, you will build a high-performing manufacturing engineering bench and ensure start-ups, ramps, and capacity expansions meet schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3+ years leading multiple factories or a multi-site network.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and CM-in-plant models preferred.
• Expert in SPC, Kaizen, Lean methods for yield and cost improvements.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, EHS, production planning and test/validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean, Kaizen, automation, and test-time reduction to improve throughput and cost.
• Partner with Engineering for design-for-manufacturing and rapid changes.
• Provide executive-level reporting on manufacturing performance and risks.
• Manage CM relationships, governance, and continuous improvement targets.
• Oversee safety, quality, audits, and regulatory compliance across sites.
