Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. Mt Vernon, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and preventive maintenance of equipment across locations Mt. Vernon to Carbondale IL.

You will document actions and assist in training for new equipment, while maintaining safety and a clean work environment. The role requires 3-5 years in maintenance/construction, ability to operate power tools, and computer literacy (MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• 3-5 years’ experience of maintenance construction field or more preferred.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, and able to use a ladder.
• Experience in telecommunications is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and maintaining related equipment; provides preventive maintenance.
• Facilitates repairs as required.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Test new equipment as directed.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
• Have some computer knowledge to email, and use forms that are computer related to Circle K.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
