Job summary

New Urban Residential seeks a Maintenance Technician to support multiple multifamily communities across the Raleigh and Durham markets. You will handle service requests, unit turnover work, and preventive maintenance while traveling between sites with minimal supervision.

This role requires strong competency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, plus a NC driver license and willingness to join a rotating on-call schedule across both markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily, hospitality, or similar facilities.
• EPA Section 608 certification, Type II or Universal.
• Strong competency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Valid NC driver license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
• Proficiency with property management software and mobile service apps.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and travel between Raleigh and Durham markets.

Responsibilities

• Handle service requests across assigned communities within 24 hours when practicable.
• Perform unit turnover work to deliver move-in ready apartments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of building systems.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Travel between sites daily or weekly as directed, maintaining mileage per policy.
• Maintain accurate records in the property management software and logs.
