  • Creates a culture where everyone has a role in maintenance and reliability improvement.
  • Owns the site 3‑year Reliability Improvement Plan, 5‑year asset plan, and annual/3‑year maintenance budget aligned with site strategy and turnaround cycles.
  • Leads the function to achieve maintenance cost, asset availability, and reliability goals through opportunity identification and leveraging of standard solutions and MET.
  • Initiates, implements, and manages the plant Reliability Program, including RCM, criticality, PM/PdM strategies, RCA, risk‑based approaches, and Life Cycle Analysis.
  • Coordinates cross‑functional teams to address significant maintenance and reliability opportunities and ensures effective resource leveraging, including contractors.
  • Ensures Maintenance and Reliability principles, MET, and mechanical integrity requirements are integrated into new projects.
  • Ensures compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) process for equipment, materials, and related operating disciplines.
  • Accountable for the safety, productivity, quality, and overall effectiveness of the maintenance and reliability workforce.
  • Sets clear expectations aligned with site goals and measures performance against work process requirements and targeted results.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports, metrics, and production loss data to identify opportunities and drive improvements in reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Ensures the site develops and executes an effective multi‑year turnaround plan with defined scope, cost control, discovery allowances, and steering oversight.
  • Executes performance management and ensures competency development, training, and succession planning for maintenance and reliability staff.
  • Ensures delivery of service agreements and optimization of contract services.
