How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in driving asset reliability, maintenance strategy optimization, and long-term equipment performance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the site’s 3-year Reliability Improvement Plan, while leveraging advanced reliability tools and methodologies to reduce risk, improve uptime, and eliminate low-value maintenance activities.

In this role, you will:
  • Conduct equipment criticality screening and risk analysis to identify and prioritize critical assets and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment
  • Develop and implement Asset Strategies aligned with equipment criticality and business objectives
  • Support the execution of the 3-year Reliability Improvement Plan, including asset availability tracking and performance improvement initiatives
  • Select and implement appropriate Risk Management and Failure Management Strategies, developing Equipment Maintenance Strategies (EMS) for critical and BOP equipment
  • Partner with the PPM Coordinator to optimize Preventive Maintenance programs, including:
    • Evaluating effectiveness of existing plans
    • Eliminating low-value PM activities
    • Incorporating vendor data, RCM methodologies, and historical performance trends
  • Ensure proper inclusion of maintenance requirements for spare parts and stored equipment to maintain asset integrity during storage
  • Evaluate and implement condition monitoring technologies (e.g., predictive maintenance tools) to enhance asset performance and reliability
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance and inspection data within CMMS systems to enable data-driven decision making
  • Monitor and analyze asset reliability metrics, including maintenance history, PPM performance, RCA outcomes, and production loss data
  • Identify and prioritize reliability improvement opportunities using cost and performance data
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) studies using tools such as Weibull analysis and FMEA
  • Implement effective corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide reliability and maintenance input for capital projects, including equipment selection, design reviews, BOM development, and PM strategies
  • Ensure new equipment is properly integrated into reliability systems, maintenance strategies, and site processes prior to startup
  • Conduct gap analyses between Asset Reliability Plans, EMS, and PPM programs to identify improvement opportunities
  • Optimize maintenance strategies by eliminating low-value work while maintaining risk control across safety, production, and cost considerations
  • Lead or support facility audits and equipment inspections to proactively prevent asset deterioration
  • Partner with the PPM Coordinator to optimize spare parts inventory and equipment availability
  • Champion the use of Management of Change (MOC) for all equipment and process modifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
