Job summary

Towne Nursing Staff is seeking a diligent EVS Floor & Cleaning Technician to maintain clean and safe environments across our facilities. You will perform floor scrubbing, wall cleaning and equipment sanitation to support resident well-being.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adherence to health and safety practices. Experience with cleaning machines and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with cleaning surfaces and scrubbing floors.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Ability to independently utilize floor cleaning and scrubbing machinery.
• Customer oriented and positive friendly attitude.
• Prioritization and time management skills.
• Knowledge of English language.
• High school or GED.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to operate floor scrubbing machines.
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Surfaces: Power wash or scrub stainless-steel, metal, vinyl, and all other surface types.
• Walls: Scrub and clean all walls to remove liquids, dust, grease buildup, stains.
• Floors: Power and/or hand scrub various floor types including grout and vinyl.
• Clean under all kitchen equipment to remove liquids, dust, grease buildup, etc.
• Clean all stove tops, grills, ovens, prep surfaces and shelves.
• Clean all floor runners and mats.
• Operate a variety of motorized and manual cleaning equipment.
• Coordinate with the Food Service team to clean inside freezers.
• Transport equipment to facilities where work is performed.
• Remove and discard food, recycling and landfill waste.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and solvents.
• Be a licensed driver and operate a vehicle safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned and follow health and safety rules.
