Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court seeks a Maintenance Technician I for facilities upkeep across multiple courthouses. You will perform a range of skilled trades tasks, inspect grounds and systems, and assist in repair work. Travel between Salem, Peabody and Lynn is expected.

This union position starts at the 9S entry level and may advance within the salary band according to the collective bargaining agreement. Work is essential in emergencies and may require extended hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with two years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance activities to ensure proper upkeep of facility infrastructure and grounds.
• Assists in a variety of skilled trades duties and conducts daily inspections.
• Completes equipment and systems maintenance and sign shop duties as directed.
• Provides cleaning assistance and checks grounds, elevators, and building systems for repairs.
• Escorts and works with subcontractors and manages keys for building access.
• May fill in for Senior Maintenance Technician I and perform other duties as required.
