Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across multiple sites, ensuring reliable facilities and safety compliance. You will collaborate with site leaders to optimize performance and respond to urgent issues.

Responsibilities include staffing planning, preventive maintenance scheduling, and coordinating repairs, while assisting with budgets and policies to meet department goals in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Manage and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in maintaining the physical plant.
• Assist with development of Policies and Procedures, operating budget, and departmental goals.
• Oversee staff daily work assignments and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and recommends optimal staffing levels to manage services.
• Manages hires, training, assignments, performance evaluations, and development plans.
• Leads, directs and organizes assigned departments.
• Plans, schedules, coordinates repairs and outages; coordinates new equipment installations.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is completed on schedule.
• Inspects building, facilities and grounds for maintenance needs.
• Contributes to budget adherence and departmental goals.
