Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a field-based Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee electrical, equipment, roofing, parking lots, and building maintenance across multiple member-facing locations. This role requires regular in-market presence to support club teams and ensure operational standards are met.

Expect weekly travel with potential overnight stays. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with preference for knowledge of retail HVAC and EMS systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in retail building maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Knowledge of building construction, food service equipment, fire protection and alarm equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce repair expenses through vendor selection and preventative maintenance.
• Develop relationships with club management and contractors to maintain equipment and facilities.
• Schedule and manage capital improvement projects across multiple locations within schedule and budget.
• Perform routine inspections and document problem areas and remedies.
• Develop budgeting information for projects and track costs to ensure budget compliance.
• Maintain contracts for installed systems and review invoices for compliance.
