What You'll Be Doing

Under the general direction of the Area/Regional Manager, the Multi-Site Community Manager is the senior leader at two or more Equity Residential apartment communities and is accountable for all aspects of the properties operations including the financial performance, resident satisfaction and retention, and managing high-performing teams.

  • Monitors and strategizes daily activities to meet short and long term goals including operational and leasing performance, analyzes and responds to changing market conditions and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Develops and executes strategic initiatives to drive growth and efficiency while fostering a positive and productive environment for both residents and employees
  • Oversees direct sales activities, leasing administration and maintenance initiatives at multiple properties
  • Monitors multiple team's performance against property management metrics and individual contributions
  • Leading community staff with regular meetings, performance monitoring, and career development guidance
  • Partners with the Regional Manager on community capital improvements, repairs, contract developments and negotiations.
  • Analyzing property operations, implementing policies for seamless integration, and ensuring operational excellence
  • Preparing and managing the community operating budget, overseeing the processing and approval of all invoices and company purchases
  • Supporting marketing, pricing efforts, and monitoring sales performance for goal achievement
  • Staying informed on community market conditions for strategic decision-making

What You'll Need To Thrive

  • Multi-Site/Portfolio residential or commercial property management experience
  • Experience leading and managing large teams
  • Customer service and sales experience
  • Knowledgeable of federal and state apartment housing laws, banking laws, as well as internal policies, initiatives and systems regarding property management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required if the employee will operate a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) during their workday and/or as part of their role.
  • Computer literacy and effective communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes.
  • Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends; Must be able to respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends.
  • Office team employees, with limited exceptions, are required to use their own Smartphone to perform certain aspects of their job. The device must have updated software and must be password-protected and compliant with in-house security systems.
  • Ability to use the computer effectively and read written communications. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the office/facility. May be required to climb stairs depending on the property structure.

Salary: $79,743,00-$97,463.00

Successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience and qualifications.
