Job summary

New York Health in Ridge, NY is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager – Surgical Services to provide multi-site clinical leadership across QUAD A, OB/GYN, Urology, Interventional Radiology, and Pain Management.

You will partner with physicians, anesthesia teams, and nursing leaders to standardize care, oversee pre-procedure to discharge workflows, ensure patient safety, and develop staffing plans for high-volume periods. Full-time role with a $135,000 salary and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New York State RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent procedural nursing experience.
• Clinical experience within surgical or procedural services.
• Experience in QUAD A, OB/GYN, Urology, Interventional Radiology, or Pain Management preferred.
• Previous experience as Charge Nurse, Preceptor, Clinical Lead, Coordinator, or Nurse Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight across multiple surgical/procedural locations.
• Partner with physicians, anesthesia teams, Practice Administrators, nursing leadership, and operations to ensure consistent standards of care.
• Oversee pre-procedure, intra-procedure, recovery, and discharge workflows.
• Ensure compliance with patient identification, informed consent, time-outs, medication safety, documentation, and discharge requirements.
• Maintain readiness for QUAD A accreditation, regulatory reviews, audits, clinical competencies, and emergency-response requirements.
• Develop staffing plans based on procedural volume, patient acuity, workflow, and operational needs.
• Support onboarding, orientation, competency validation, coaching, performance management and professional development of staff.
• Monitor clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience, and operational performance.
• Review incidents, near misses, patient complaints, and participate in corrective-action initiatives.
• Serve as hands-on clinical resource during high-volume periods or complex cases.
