Job summary

Clean Team Inc. is seeking a full‑time Area Manager to lead commercial cleaning operations across West Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Zeeland, Grand Haven, Muskegon and surrounding areas.

You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, schedule workloads, and ensure service quality while traveling between locations. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple sites and customer accounts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Experience in janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, facilities management, or a service-based industry is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage several locations and priorities simultaneously.
• Hands-on approach to employee and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning operations across multiple commercial accounts.
• Lead and supervise janitorial staff at multiple locations.
• Visit customer sites for inspections and quality control checks.
• Train new employees and coach on safety and productivity.
• Build staff schedules and manage staffing levels.
• Monitor labor hours and adjust staffing as needed.
• Handle coaching, performance concerns, and disciplinary matters.
