Job summary

Hulsing Hotels in Asheville is seeking an experienced Complex Director of Maintenance to provide senior technical and operational leadership across a multi-property portfolio including Crowne Plaza Asheville, Four Points by Sheraton Asheville Downtown, and the Asheville Racquet Club.

You will oversee facilities, engineering, and grounds, build a cohesive maintenance culture, manage budgets and capital projects, and work with ownership and operations leadership to protect assets and deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years in facilities or maintenance management, multi-property experience preferred.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, hotel, resort, or club facility management.
• Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and capital planning across multi-site operations.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CHFE/CFM or similar certifications a plus; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities, engineering, and grounds across a multi-property complex (hotel, resort, and club).
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, and structural systems.
• Lead, coach, and retain a high-performing maintenance team across multiple properties.
• Plan and manage capital improvement projects with clear scopes, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and multi-year capital plans for the portfolio.
• Establish and manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and brand standards; drive energy management initiatives.
