Job summary

A&R Group Hospitality is seeking an Area Maintenance Technician to support multiple hotel properties from our corporate Gulf Shores, AL office. This hands-on role covers mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and pool/spa systems with regular travel to properties in the region.

You will work with on-site engineers, perform preventive maintenance, ensure safety and health compliance, and help manage capital projects while upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of hotel, facility, or building maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of management or multi-property oversight experience.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool/spa, and fire safety systems.
• Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO) certification required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and active automobile insurance required.
• Must be able to travel between properties, weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on building systems across properties.
• Maintain and monitor pool and spa operations in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist on-site Chief Engineers and maintenance staff with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure safety standards, health codes, and building regulations are followed.
• Document maintenance activities and report on preventive/capital needs.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely, professional manner.
• Support energy conservation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on repairs and capital projects.
• Provide after-hours and emergency support, including on-call rotations.
• Travel regularly between assigned hotel properties in the region.
