D1 Training - East Woodlands is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repair support across five properties, including a hotel, D1 Training facilities, and residential homes.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to keep properties safe, functional, clean, and well maintained. Responsibilities cover plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general upkeep.

Qualifications

• General maintenance, handyman, or facilities maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, drywall repair, painting, carpentry.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties.
• Own and maintain standard hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, responsive, professional, and able to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift and perform maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across all five properties.
• Repair and touch up hotel rooms as needed to maintain guest-ready standards.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, and minor leaks.
• Perform basic electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other minor electrical components.
• Complete sheetrock/drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-ups.
• Repair and adjust doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, and hardware.
• Assemble and install furniture, shelving, equipment, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Perform minor flooring repairs and replacements.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor garage door repairs.
• Handle preventative maintenance and general upkeep at the hotel, facilities, and residential properties.
• Identify larger maintenance issues and communicate when a licensed contractor or specialist is needed.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area after completing repairs.
• Assist with other maintenance projects and property needs as assigned.
