Job summary

D1 Training is seeking a dependable and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repair support across five properties, including a hotel, two D1 Training facilities, and two residential homes. You will manage preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and safety checks to keep all sites functional and guest-ready.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and able to identify issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision, traveling between properties

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance and facilities maintenance across multiple properties.
• Knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, drywall/sheetrock repair, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties.
• Must own and maintain standard hand and power tools for routine maintenance work.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, responsive, professional, and able to work independently.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across all five properties.
• Repair and touch up hotel rooms as needed to maintain guest-ready standards.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, and minor leaks.
• Perform basic electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other minor electrical components.
• Complete sheetrock/drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-ups.
• Repair and adjust doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, and hardware.
• Assemble and install furniture, shelving, equipment, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Perform minor flooring repairs and replacements.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor garage door repairs.
• Handle preventative maintenance and general upkeep at the hotel, D1 Training facilities, and residential properties.
• Identify larger maintenance issues and communicate when a licensed contractor or specialist is needed.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area after completing repairs.
• Assist with other maintenance projects and property needs as assigned.
