Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties.
• Own and maintain standard hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across five properties.
• Repair hotel rooms to guest-ready standards.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs (toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, leaks).
• Perform basic electrical work (light fixtures, switches, outlets).
• Complete drywall/paint touch-ups and repairs.
• Repair and adjust doors, locks, cabinets, hardware.
• Assemble and install furniture and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot appliances and minor flooring.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor garage door repairs.
• Handle preventative maintenance and upkeep across all properties.
• Identify larger issues and advise on licensed contractor needs.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area after repairs.

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance and repair support across multiple properties, including one hotel, two D1 Training facilities, and two residential homes.

This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, self-motivated, responsive, and capable of identifying and completing repairs independently. The technician will be responsible for keeping all properties safe, functional, clean, and well maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across all five properties.
• Repair and touch up hotel rooms as needed to maintain guest-ready standards.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, and minor leaks.
• Perform basic electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other minor electrical components.
• Complete sheetrock/drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-ups.
• Repair and adjust doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, and hardware.
• Assemble and install furniture, shelving, equipment, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Perform minor flooring repairs and replacements.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor garage door repairs.
• Handle preventative maintenance and general upkeep at the hotel, D1 Training facilities, and residential properties.
• Identify larger maintenance issues and communicate when a licensed contractor or specialist is needed.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area after completing repairs.
• Assist with other maintenance projects and property needs as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, drywall/sheetrock repair, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between properties.
• Must own and maintain standard hand and power tools necessary for routine maintenance work.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Must be dependable, responsive, professional, and able to work independently.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work.
