MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care, part of MUSC Health Charleston Medical Center Downtown, seeks a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in X-ray and CT, ensuring patient comfort and safety. 4 scheduled weekly hours, day shift, with ARRT/SCRQSA certification and BLS required.

Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required, with at least two years in diagnostic imaging and CT; emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic experience preferred.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging and CT.
• Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic imaging.
• Must be ARRT and SCRQSA registered in Radiography (R) and CT (C).
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in both X-ray and CT modalities.
• Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and answer questions to promote understanding and cooperation.

• Operate X-ray and CT equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
• Maintain competency in all assigned imaging procedures and equipment.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and best practices to minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support timely and accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational policies and procedures.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: Required 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT. Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities. Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria.

Required Registration/Certification:

• Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
  Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required , either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
