UF Health in Jacksonville seeks a Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist capable of performing exams across multiple modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography and bone density. The role requires on-call schedule participation and adherence to regulatory standards.

Candidates should have JRCERT accreditation, ARRT registration, Florida licensure, and BLS certification; CT certification is preferred. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology program; ARRT registered.
• Florida licensure as a Radiographer; BLS certification.
• CT certification is preferred; ARRT post-primary certification in another modality is required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform radiologic exams across modalities: Diagnostic X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Bone Density.
• Maintain sterile technique and operate complex imaging equipment under supervision of Director/Manager.
• Participate in weekend coverage and on-call schedule as applicable.
• Prepare for Joint Commission, ACR, and other inspections; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with QA/QC and document patient history and image quality for PACS.

Overview

Description:

The multi-modality technologist will be required to perform high quality radiologic exams with a minimum of two qualifying/credentialed modalities to meet the specific needs of the departments. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to work routinely in all disciplines in which they are registered to perform exams. These include Diagnostic Xray, ComputedTomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Mammography and Bone Density. The multimodalitytechnologist must participate in the on-call schedule where applicable.

Responsibilities

Job Requirement:

• Technologist will be required to perform invasive and noninvasiveprocedures, utilize sterile techniques when necessary, and operate complex imaging equipment under the direction of the Director and/or Manager.
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory training.Staff orientation, onboarding, training and development.
• Participates in weekend schedule coverage, must participatesin the on call schedule where applicable. Covers additional shifts based on the department need.
• Preparation for the Joint Commission, ACR, Stericycleinspections and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Perform venipuncture to administer contrast media and othermedications with appropriate clinical education.
• Performs all other duties assigned by management within jobspecifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department and notifies Bio-Medand other service engineers of equipment issues. Performs and logs QA/QC for equipment in use.
• Collects and documents appropriate patient history. Reviewsimage quality and forwards timely to PACS.

• 1-3 years Multi-Disciplined Radiology Department required
• 1-3 years Knowledge of Radiographic procedures and practices required
• 1 -3 years Preferred experience in breast imaging preferred
• 1 -3 years CT scan experience - preferredEducation:
• Education:
• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology program, (JRCERT). Must be American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered and hold post primary certification in a minimum of one additional qualifying discipline in which exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist upon hire. Must also hold current Basic Life Support certification and Florida State License for Radiographers. CT certification preferred
• College Technical Degree JRCERT required
• Certification/Licensure:
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at time of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredat time of hire-American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Radiology Certifications in 2 or more modalities required and within 90 days
• Florida Licensure required at time of hire
• Travel: Up to 10%
• Additional Duties: Additional duties as assigned may vary.
