Multi-Modality Technologist - Nights

Full-Time

  • Location: Beloit, WI
  • 9p-7a Mon - Thurs


Please note: This position will not be based in the Beloit location until its official opening in the fall. Training may begin earlier at an alternate location. Training schedules and actual work location may vary.

We’re looking for a motivated and flexible Multi-Modality Technologist to join our team! This role requires current competency and credentialing in Radiography, with the ability to obtain CT certification within one year of hire. The ideal candidate is adaptable and willing to transition between modalities based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
  • Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership, completes projects, advanced level clinical duties and regular assignments as requested.
  • Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities.
  • Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
  • Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary.
  • Practices aseptic technique as necessary,
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
  • Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
  • Provides patient education.
  • Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
  • Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
  • Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.
  • Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
  • Other duties, tasks as assigned.


Education And Experience

Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Two to four years of experience as a technologist as a Radiographer is required. Experience in a hospital environment preferred

Certification/Licensure

ARRT registered in Radiography required; the CT credential is required within a year of hire

IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois

WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin BLS/CPR required within 90 days of hire

Special Physical Demands

The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Function of the position with or without accommodations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
