Qualifications

Job description

General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is seeking a Multi-Modality Technologist I to join our team. We value outstanding quality, customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work independently.

As a Multi-Modality Technologist I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine and/or diagnostic medical radiographic exams, fluoroscopic exams, and operate equipment such as mammography, MRI, or CT scanners to assist in diagnosis and treatment. You may also assist physicians with imaging guidance for biopsies in diagnostic settings.

Primary Duties:

  1. Acquire raw data to produce optimal images; assist with biopsy guidance; enter patient data; ensure image quality and completeness.
  2. Instruct and demonstrate operation of imaging equipment to staff and students.
  3. Maintain work area cleanliness and equipment functionality; perform preventative maintenance; report malfunctions.
  4. Perform radiography and fluoroscopy, including patient history, routine procedures, IV access, contrast injections, and quality review of images.
  5. Schedule examinations, transfer images to PACS, and assist patients regarding procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  2. Registered by the NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board).
  3. 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology and/or nuclear medicine.
  4. Licensed by the State of Maryland.

This position offers a hiring range of $34.98 - $59.26 per hour.
