Job Description Summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is excited to expand imaging services at our brand-new Kiawah Pavilion, bringing world‑class care closer to the local community. We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Multi‑Modality Technologist to join our growing imaging team.

In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities with a focus on delivering safe, high‑quality exams and compassionate patient care. Working in a state‑of‑the‑art facility, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure accurate results and an exceptional patient experience.

Job Description

Multi‑modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities. Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience

2 years minimum of radiologic experience. Must be able to produce very high‑quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team‑oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria.

Required Registration/Certification
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Must obtain Advanced Modality Registration within 1 year of hire date.
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
