Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare imaging equipment and patients per physicians' orders and department protocols.
• Perform ultrasound procedures and related radiology tasks.

• Perform incidental general office duties: answering phones, scheduling, filing, and managing patient records.

Responsible for preparing and operating ultrasound equipment during diagnostic patient exams while exercising procedures safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered following protocols to aid in patient diagnosis

Principal Accountabilities

• Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians' orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.
• Prepares patient and performs radiology procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques with scope of practice such as basic CPR and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.
• Performs incidental general office duties to include; answering phone; scheduling; filing; maintaining patient records; ordering supplies.
• Other relevant duties as assigned
