Health Images is adding a full-time MRI/CT/XR Technologist to our Cherry Creek team!

Position Pay Range: $40.00 - $51.57 | Monday-Friday, 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$10,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible hires.

Summary/Objective:

The Multi-Modality Technologist performs MRI procedures, CT and X-Ray examinations according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. Positions patient and performs scans using proper technical factors, maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures, and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions:

1. Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history and provides instructions/explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
3. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
4. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
5. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during, and following the exam, and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes.
6. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
7. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
8. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and reports any quality concerns or equipment failures.
9. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an outpatient clinical environment with potential exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, communicable diseases, and toxic substances. Work may occur in cool, dimly lit rooms.

Physical Demands:

May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly. Regularly uses hands and fingers, reaches with hands and arms, and communicates verbally and in writing. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to focus.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two+ years’ experience in MRI (preferred)
• Two+ years’ experience in CT (preferred)
• Two+ years’ experience in X-Ray (preferred)
• Ability to educate patients on procedures
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, problem solver, team player
• Proficient in navigating multiple computer screens and browsers
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current ARRT certification in MRI or ARMRIT certification
• Registry in CT and Radiography (R)
• Current state medical license (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

None required.
