Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a skilled radiologic technologist to operate x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography equipment. The role supports departmental objectives and ensures patient safety while achieving imaging goals.

This position requires certification across multiple modalities and active licensure in the applicable state. The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the required education and certifications, maintain BLS, and demonstrate the ability to

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Three years of technical experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RT license in the state of practice required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold current certification in at least one modality and be able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality (CT, Mammography, MRI, NM, Sonography, PET).
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) required; ARRT-CT or ARRT-M etc. required.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment.
• Performs three modalities competently on a regular basis.
• Safely transports and transfers patients and tests equipment integrity.
• Prepares contrast agents for imaging procedures.
• Performs other radiology duties as assigned.

Associate's Degree in radiologic technology

Job Summary:

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:

• Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience. Performs three modalities competently.
• Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
