Job summary

Baptist is seeking a Technologist-Radiology Multi-Modality PRN in Somerville, TN. The role involves operating CT and X-ray imaging equipment, following physician orders, and ensuring patient safety through established protocols.

The position supports ER and inpatient care under supervision and participates in quality improvement activities. The ideal candidate will have completed a radiology program and hold ARRT certification or be eligible within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
• ARRT certification or eligibility required within specified timelines.
• Experience with CT and X-ray protocols and patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
• Provides basic bedside care and support in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit under supervision.
• Assists with patient stabilization and life support measures in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitors patient condition and reports concerns.
• Collects laboratory samples and performs lab testing per CLIA regulations.
• Demonstrates radiology quality controls and routine maintenance.
• Prepares patient meals per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Supports patient registration and a best-in-class patient experience.
