Job summary

Nutex Health in Jackson, MS is seeking a Radiology Tech with multi-modality expertise to operate CT, X-ray, MRI, or ultrasound equipment and capture high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced environment. You will position patients, administer contrast when needed, monitor for adverse reactions, maintain infection control, and collaborate with physicians and staff.

ARRT or RDMS certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound as verified by ARRT or RDMS.
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with one year of relevant experience.
• Certification by ARRT or RDMS.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Multimodality Technologists must possess certification in two or more modalities or have completed an accredited cross-training program.

Responsibilities

• Position patients to ensure effective scanning.
• Perform regular warm-up sequences on radiologic equipment.
• Sterilize radiologic equipment following infection control protocols.
• Interpret and follow physicians' scanning instructions.
• Administer radiocontrast agents as needed.
• Review scans to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast agents.
• Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report deficiencies.
