Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs with proper positioning and exposure settings across diverse patient populations.

The role includes cross-training for multi-modality imaging, collaboration with nursing staff on patient care, and maintaining high performance through ongoing education. Weekend and on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Certification (R) is required.
• Licensed as Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in the State of Texas.
• Maintain current BLS certification per unit needs and AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform optimal radiographs for all patient populations with proper positioning and exposure settings.
• Participate in cross-training to support multi-modality imaging.
• Coordinate with hospital staff regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts.
• May work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, or on-call status as needed.
