Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic procedures under physician direction in a hospital setting in Texas. The role may include rotating within departments to ensure proper coverage and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, data storage in PACS, accurate coding and billing, and adherence to infection control and HIPAA guidelines. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians.
• Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures and may rotate within departments as needed.
• Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain high patient care and continuity.
• Program the computer to store scan data in PACS after procedures.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and comply with infection control standards.
• Ensure charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate effective communication and excellent customer service.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
• Adhere to CHRISTUS Health core values and all policies and standards.
