The position requires ARRT registration with CT credentials, a two-year CT/X-ray track record, and the ability to work independently across modalities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or allied health.
• Current ARRT registration.
• Advanced ARRT registry in CT.
• Minimum 2 years of current, full-time experience in both CT and X-ray.
• Experience in hospital and/or Emergency Department setting.
• Strong knowledge of CT and general radiography procedures.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist with current experience in both Computed Tomography (CT) and General X-Ray to join a hospital-based diagnostic imaging team in Owosso, MI.

The technologist will perform CT examinations and general radiography for scheduled patients, inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to image quality, excellent patient care, and the ability to work independently across multiple imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and image post-processing equipment.
• Perform high-quality CT examinations using appropriate positioning, technical factors, and imaging protocols.
• Perform general radiographic examinations as needed.
• Adjust CT protocols based on patient condition, anatomy, and clinical requirements.
• Evaluate completed studies for diagnostic image quality.
• Maintain repeat rates within established national standards.
• Select and prepare appropriate equipment based on procedure protocols and technical standards.
• Position patients accurately according to the anatomy being examined.
• Obtain complete and pertinent patient histories and communicate relevant information to the radiologist.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide appropriate preparation and education.
• Practice accurate patient identification and follow established patient safety procedures.
• Follow age-specific guidelines when caring for patients across different age groups.
• Assist radiologists with invasive procedures, including biopsies and abscess drainages.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding patient care, imaging protocols, and clinical concerns.
• Record, archive, retrieve, compile, and evaluate imaging data.
• Maintain familiarity with diagnostic imaging procedures and related departmental workflows.
• Communicate delays or changes in scheduling to patients in a professional manner.
• Stay current with new diagnostic imaging procedures, technologies, and practices.
• Participate in technologist-level research and quality improvement activities as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate/two-year degree in an allied health or Radiologic Technology-related field.
• Current ARRT registration.
• Advanced ARRT registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
• Minimum 2 years of current, full-time experience in both CT and X-ray.
• Experience working in a hospital and/or Emergency Department setting.
• Strong knowledge of CT and general radiography procedures.
• Ability to operate CT equipment, power injectors, and related imaging systems.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.

Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts.
• 70 hours per pay period.
• One week on / one week off schedule.
• No weekend requirements.
• No on-call requirements.
